During A Shower
2025
Oil on canvas
40x50cm

Rendered in oil, this painting depicts an ambiguous, voyeuristic creature observing a solitary figure seated on the ground, cradling an unidentifiable object—suggestive yet intentionally obscured. The scene plays on the tension between the seen and the concealed, the mundane and the taboo. It invites viewers to reflect on the strange intimacy of private rituals, those unspoken behaviours that exist in the shadows of everyday life. Inspired, in part, by the curious knowledge that some individuals attend to personal matters even during a shower, the work blurs the line between absurdity and truth, prompting discomfort, curiosity, and dark humour in equal measure.

Church Underneath A Willow Tree
2025
Oil on canvas
60x80cm

Beneath the quiet sweep of a willow tree, a disguised angel and a bishop sit in uneasy stillness. Cloaked in symbols of sanctity, their true identities remain hidden—yet not entirely. There’s something in their presence, particularly their eyes—unfamiliar, alien, and unsettling—that betrays the illusion. This painting questions the nature of appearances and the trust we place in them. It serves as a quiet warning: to look more closely, to question what is presented as truth, and to remain vigilant about the forces we follow. Not all that appears divine is benevolent, and not every mask hides what we think it does.

A Little Bit About The Artist
A Statement From The Artist
My body of work is a surrealistically translated figurative collection of oil paintings to question relationships between humans and other intellectual beings, either spiritual, technological or cultural. In modern society, our Westernised “civilised” society often communicates with other humans while losing their spiritual beliefs within cultures. I started to observe the human’s behaviour towards different intellectual beings throughout history and culture. I found that each individual has a unique attitude based on their interpretation related to their culture and personal experience of other beings through observation.
