SAM BRYAN
Bat Weekend
Mixed media. Hand carved stamp, black ink. Distressed image from a vintage postcard
21 x 29.7 cm
2024
Inspired by a love for black and white films, I wanted to explore the idea of the spooky, distressed old house. A house which makes your imagination go into overdrive, everyone has one in their neighbourhood. I chose to carve a bat stamp as they are underrated creatures, small and secretive . They know what goes on inside the house but they won’t share.
