A Little Bit About The Artist
A Statement From The Artist
My practice centres around the functionless spaces and moments of the everyday. I think about people, places and objects that inspire me to create strange narratives and scenes through clay sculpture that is then photographed and painted realistically in oil paint. This process is designed to help me explore what it means to replicate and create reality and how uncanniness can be conceived through the slight abstraction and intentional distortion of it.
Tell us about a dream you've had.
I had a dream that I lived in a maze made of clay, with the terracotta colour of the medium stretching for miles.
What's your favourite movie or tv show?
End of the f***ing world
What is your biggest influence on your practice?
Liminality is the biggest influence on my work as it is such a broad, beautiful and intangible topic that explores our complicated feelings in connection to our environment.
