A Little Bit About The Filmmaker

Do you like scary movies? And if so which ones?

I LOVE scary movie. For me, they create a feeling that is hard to get in the everyday world. I love being scared and the adrenaline that comes from watching a scary movie. Growing up, I watched paranormal activity with a packed theater and with all of my friends when we were just 12 years old and that experience was magical. The gasps and the screams that came from the audience was so fun and the feeling of being wide awake despite it being midnight after watching the movie is something I'll never forget. For me, scary movies are a reflection of the shadow self and show us how to live and survive the darkness. Some of my favorite scary movies include Hereditary, Bring Her Back, Scream, Get Out, and the Conjuring.

Who or what is the biggest influence in your film making?

My biggest influence in my film making are films that are different, unique, and leave an open discussion/debate from the audience once finished. The films that elicit an emotion, a feeling, a reaction. I'm drawn to stories that don't offer answers, only reflections. Stories that sit with you uncomfortably, that ask you to interrogate your own sense of morality.
