"Your house is really weird."

"Your house is really weird” is an installation featuring two large, character sculptures, both constructed using childlike symbolic drawings, imagery, and mark-making techniques. This room, previously a classroom, now lay empty giving that liminal feeling, it immerses visitors in a liminal space, reminiscent of a school setting, bridging the gap between our inner child and the present self. The characters represent that strange disconnect between the reality, which is an old abandoned school, void of its life and character, now with these creatures that don't make any sense. Giving the viewer an odd sense of uncanny familiarity and confusion. I am submitting prints of the smaller creature. It is made from cardboard and recyclable materials.
