A Statement From The Artist
Hope Chest is a short film that came to me in a sentence “I hope that the FBI agent who finds my body is predisposed to sadness.” Eve is caught in her obsession with what writer Alice Bolin calls Dead Girl TV. Pulling only from these narratives to build her dream future, which it turns out can only land you one place, a body bag.
Do you like scary movies? And if so which ones?

I love scary movies! Too many to list but I gravitate towards late 70s paranoia horror like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Stepford Wives, Carrie, Rosemary's Baby, and Halloween.​

Who's your fave Final Girl and why?
There is a series of books by Stephen Graham Jones that starts with My Heart is a Chainsaw and the final girl Jade has really stolen my heart. But if we're talking movies it might have to be Laurie Strode from Halloween.

What is the biggest influence in your practice?
Nightmares and scary books.
