A Little Bit About The Artist
A Statement From The Artist
I am a participatory artist who uses sculpture, installation, and workshops to engage people in discussions and activities. My work centres around three key elements: play, people, and props. My goal is to create art that empowers individuals and fosters a sense of community and well-being. I use bright colours and simple patterns to create a playful and inviting atmosphere, and my style has been described as a blend of Barbie and Fear and Loathing, or The Fresh Prince at the beach, due to my love of 90s aesthetics and my belief that we can "build paradise wherever we are."
Tell us about a dream you've had.
As a child I dreamt that my older sister stole all of my chips, I awoke distraught especially after discovering there were no chips to be stolen.

What's your favourite movie or tv show?
Billy Elliot.

What is your biggest influence on your practice?
I'd say my practice is largely influenced by the space that sits between child's play and art. I can be just as influenced by the moons and stars patten on my 90s sleeping bags as a lobster exhibition by Philip Colbert. I place the same visual importance on anything that sparks joy or intrigue regardless of setting or application.
