A Little Bit About The Artist
A Statement From The Artist
My photography and creative process has been deeply inspired by my grandads love for creating art. My photography combines the female experience with childhood nostalgia. Each photoshoot feeling like playing dress up , evoking the joy and freedom of childhood through an adult lens. Working with both digital and film formats I aim to tell stories that the viewer can find themselves in.
In my series “final girl” I explore the visual language of horror , focusing on the girl who survives. This archetype becomes a metaphor for resilience , mirroring the real life horrors that women often endure. Through centring my closest friends and family in these images I hope to empower and create space for their own personal stories.
Do you like scary movies? And if so which ones?

I love scary movies but I am awful with gore. I love horror movies that make me feel really uneasy and unsettled , I really loved Nosferatu

Who's your fave Final Girl and why?
My favourite final girl has to be Ellen Ripley. I love the whole aesthetic of Alien and the fact her enemy is so unique and she’s so unstoppable.

What is the biggest influence in your practice?

My biggest influence on my practice comes from my artistic family , especially my Nan and grandad. They have always encouraged me and surrounded me with art.
