I enter empty and abandoned spaces and revitalize the space with added materials and colored flashes. Through the careful manipulation and thoughtful restoration of uninhabited spaces, I seek to create communal platforms . Whether it entails constructing areas of refuge from the ground up or creatively utilizing remnants and traces of previous interventions, each project points to a future with possibilities for collective growth. In documenting the perpetual state of flux surrounding issues of ownership, I explore the complexities that arise within both municipal and privatized spacest. My work blurs the traditional borders illuminating the tensions that emerge when different entities vie for control over these shared spaces.
