A Little Bit About The Artist

A Statement From The Artist

I am a mixed media collage artist transforming the abandoned, unloved, and discarded into richly layered artworks, infused with narrative, history and drama. My practice is rooted in reclaiming and repurposing vintage papers, fabrics, and objects—materials marked by time, use and imperfection—to create opulent, theatrical compositions. Inspired by iconic performers, fairy tales, and folklore, my work pays playful homage to the grand spectacle of the Showperson. Each piece emerges as a visual story, shaped by my lifelong fascination with the theatrical—born from childhood visits and the joy of being immersed in an otherworld of velvet curtains and flocked wallpaper—and a deep curiosity about what lies behind the scenes. My maximalist aesthetic draws from a range of influences: vintage magician’s posters, elaborate costumes, mythology, and Masters of Spectacle . At the heart of my practice is a love of transformation—of materials, of meaning, and of the overlooked—into something bold, joyous, and full of life.
